Consistent community involvement and engagement at all levels of the school have been shown time and time again to have significant short-term and long-term benefits. According to a recent report, it shows that when schools, parents, families, and communities work together to support learning, students tend to earn higher grades, attend school more regularly, stay in school longer, and enroll in higher level programs.

That’s the reason why ZNCS values community participation so much. Community participation can contribute to promoting education and we encourage our students and teachers to join community activities actively to promote a supporting and harmonious community connection.

As Concordia Temporary Office locates next to Rongchuang Art Mansion community, ZNCS and CSN(Concordia School Ningbo, ZNCS's sister school) are invited to participate in a charity sale event hosted by the community today.

The theme of this charity sale was Animal Crossing, which is a popular social simulation video game, and the whole event venue is full of animal and forest elements, making it very attractive to children.

Our teachers and staff provided plenty of stationery and toys for kids, including animal-looked pens, pen holders, books, notebooks, erasers, book shelves, colorful tapes, cups, memos, and bubble machines.

Our expat teacher Cornel highly recommended Rubik's Cube, which can help students to improve hand-eye coordination, muscle memory, concentration and patience.

We also met so many cute kids in this event and our teachers loved to play with them!

Don't forget that today is All Hallows' Eve. Everybody on site could also try free Halloween makeups and have fun.

At the end of the event, we obtained a quite good result as our first try. All the money we earned in this event will be donated to the Rongchuang Art Mansion as a community charity fund to help people in need.

ZNCS believes that the responsibility for raising a well-educated and civic-minded generation of children cannot rest solely with schools. Community is an inseparable part of student cultivation, which plays an essential role in the development of education and learning processes.

When the community truly comes together and helps each other, students can benefit by knowing that they have the love and support of everyone around them. And that makes us feel like the weight of the world isn’t on just us anymore, but shared by all who care.

At ZNCS, we embrace all kinds of community partnership and encourage community involvement to create an actively, supporting and harmonious learning environment.
