01 Keep Away From Dangerous Waters

▪Unfamiliar with the water and lacking a correct estimate of your physical strength and swimming ability.

Poor safety awareness and swimming in non-open water can result in limbs getting tangled in the water underneath and sinking, or getting stuck in the mud and losing control.

▪People in poor health, suffering from heart disease, anaemia, epilepsy and other chronic diseases, may have a recurrence of their old illnesses when stimulated by cold water while swimming, leading to drowning.

▪People who go into the water without adequate preparation activities.

▪Drowning is caused by panic in the event of an accident while playing with each other in the water.

03 How to save yourself

Stay calm. Suddenly falling into water will be a bit jarring, make sure you stay calm. Panicking will work against you restoring yourself to dry land.

01

Ask for assistance. Have someone throw you a float, a rope, or any assistive device available.

02

Get rid of heavy objects in your shoes and pockets, but don't take off your clothes, because it will create a certain amount of buoyancy, which will help you a lot.

03

If there are wooden boards around, you should grab them and use the buoyancy of the boards to float your body up as much as possible.

04

If someone jumps into the water to rescue you, do not hold onto the rescuer tightly, but try to relax and cooperate with the rescuer to bring you to the shore.
