At the beginning of the school year, Concordia School Ningbo held a grand Welcome Carnival and Award Ceremony.

Concordia has always given education a strategic focus, whilst continuing to be people-oriented and memorable - always adhering to the spirit of "Harmony in Diversity, Excellence through Collaboration", and working collaboratively. We expect that the award ceremony will not only encourage and support individuals who have achieved outstanding things, but will also cultivate collective cohesion and competitiveness, adding to the future development of Concordia.

PART.1 

AWARD CEREMONY

「Talent Show」

Concordia's teachers are not only accomplished in the classroom but are also skilled all around. The award ceremony opened with a fashionable song, "Queen Card", in which the teachers "put on sunglasses" and danced a cool group dance. Then, the nostalgic old songs the foreign teachers sang resonated with the audience and started the chorus. The kindergarten's "Ride the Wave" was refreshing, and finally, the song "As You Like It" reminded everyone of the good old days.

In addition to enriching and enhancing their professional knowledge, our teachers engage with students, explore developing diversified competencies, think outside the box, and engage in "play" with students as knowledgeable lifelong learners.

「Chairman's Statement」

Ms. Jin Jie, Chairman of Concordia School Ningbo, offered a heartfelt speech at the ceremony:

This year marks the sixth anniversary of our school's inception. In 2018, We started the site selection for Concordia. By 2021, we joyously welcomed our first cohort of students, and today, our school has truly taken shape and begun to make a meaningful impact.

Academician Xu Yangsheng, Honorary Principal of our school, once said, “The foundation of development of a nation lies in its economic growth, which is inseparable from the development of science and technology. Science and technology requires talents, so education is particularly critical. The talents we want to cultivate are world-class talents, who possess a global perspective, capable of considering China from an international standpoint and comprehending the world through the lens of China.” We are privileged to have a group of educators who possess international experience, enabling them to equip our students with the skills needed to excel in an era of ever-evolving artificial intelligence.

At present, we have already started the preparatory work for Concordia Junior and Senior High Schools, and have established in-depth cooperation with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and Shanghai Pinghe Bilingual School, so as to systematically build Concordia into the best K15 international school in the local area. We hope that in the days to come, we can witness the development and achievement of Concordia together, and feel proud and honored to be members of Concordia.

「Leader Appointment Ceremony」

The award ceremony also included an appointment ceremony for middle-level cadres at Concordia. Six outstanding Concordians were promoted to middle management. Among them were: the Head of Academics; and the School Office Manager – both of who are hard-working on the front lines of education; but also fellow Concordians who contribute to daily management and running of the school. 

In the future, we expect these budding "rising stars of management" to fulfill their mission, do well in their respective positions, and work hard to create a more harmonious "Concordia Ecosystem".

As an educator, it is important to have the determination and conviction to keep up with the times, to stand at a higher level, to be more far-sighted in looking at the development of education, and even to lead the change in education, so let's applaud them together.

The camping element of the party scene was carefully set up. In the warm, hazy night, the band's laughter, good food and beautiful scenery all arrived as expected.

Once again, we would like to thank all the leaders, guests and staff for their great support for this award ceremony. Looking back at today's Orientation and Star Teacher Award Ceremony: For love, we break boundaries to integrate and connect with each other. In the new semester, let us bring new vision and hope. Perceive every happiness and harvest. Create every dream and realize tomorrow together.
