Concordia Ningbo Meal Committee was Officially Established!

In order to strengthen the safety management of collective meals and food hygiene for teachers and students, on 30th October 2023, Concordia Ningbo formally established the Meal Committee and held the first meeting and the first canteen visit.

Nutrition and health of the school's diet is the focus of common concern, but also the top priority of the safety work. The purpose of the Catering Committee is to serve the teachers and students, to help do a good job in the canteen food safety, hygiene and health, nutritional balance and the dining environment, and to do a good job of the bridge between the canteen and teachers and students.

At the meeting, the deputy director of the Catering Committee and the host of the meeting, Ms Lai, introduced the organisational structure and division of responsibilities of the committee, and clarified the operation mechanism. Mr Zheng, the person in charge of the canteen, explained the school's nutritional meals, the optimisation of allergy meals and other related contents.

Principal Chen, the head of the Catering Committee, elaborated on the purpose of setting up the Catering Management Committee, hoping to use the Catering Management Committee as a bridge to strengthen the communication between home and school, to make the management of the school cafeteria more transparent and intuitive, and to make parents, teachers, and students the supervisors of the management of the cafeteria.

After the meeting, led by the person-in-charge of the canteen management, all the members entered the canteen in an orderly manner for a site visit, including the vegetable area, washing and cutting area, Chinese and Western food area, cut fruits area, cutlery washing area, food storage room and so on. The members made a site visit to the school canteen's meal preparation process, various types of registration forms and procurement lists. They witnessed the scientific and meticulous management, standard operation, clean and tidy environment and the professionalism of the staff in the canteen.
