Teachers Focus | A Small Step into a New Semester

15 Feb 2023

As the new semester begins, students and teachers are gearing up for a fresh start. One of the first things that Concordia International School will do is to gather together for an assembly. This is a time for the entire school community to come together and set the tone for the semester ahead.

Assembly

Assemblies at Concordia International school is a great opportunity to share information about new programs, initiatives, and goals for the school. During our assembly, Principal Michael encouraged students to make the world a better place through acts of kindness and making the right choices. Students listened to school leaders and teachers about what they can expect in the coming months, and the importance of good behaviour, hard work, and respect for others. Principal Michael also shared a famous Chinese quote, Never do bad things because they have lasting negative consequences; never stop doing good things because they have lasting rewards.

Benchmarking

One of the key components of a successful school semester is benchmarking. This means setting goals and tracking progress over time to ensure that students are on track to meet their full potential. Teachers and students can use benchmarking to measure their progress and make adjustments as needed. For example, a student who is struggling in a particular subject may benefit from additional learning support. Teachers can use benchmarking to see where their students are excelling and where they need to focus their attention.

 Goal of Education

It is important to remember that the goal of education is to grow and learn in meaningful ways. In the coming weeks and months, teacher and students will be working hard to build a strong and supportive classroom community. We will be setting goals, working together, and celebrating our successes. At Concordia International School, we believe that every student has the potential to do great things.  So let's get started! We are looking forward to an amazing Spring semester filled with learning, laughter, and lots of fun.
