Experience the Beauty of the Rhythm of Words

The Chinese language is the heart and soul of all Chinese people, and as long as the Chinese language lives on, the Chinese soul will never rest.

At Concordia, Chinese language education has always been our focus. The curriculum at Concordia Primary School is based on the Chinese National Curriculum and IB curriculum concepts, allowing the entire teaching system to intermingle and complement the Chinese and foreign curriculum and the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.

Foreword

On this Grain Rain, we launched the International Chinese Language Day. The event is to commemorate“Cangjie”, the originator of Chinese writing, promoting the international application of Chinese language and to facilitate humanistic exchanges between China and abroad.

Concordia is also committed to creating a campus atmosphere that blends Eastern and Western cultures and helps children build a sound world view.

Many of the ideas and wisdom of the ancients have been passed down to this day only through words. 

The students from CISN presented us with a song called “The 24 Solar Terms". The children also felt the beauty of the rhythm of the words to the sound of the catchy music.

Words can not only be sung, but also played in games.

The students of Concordia played a new style of "Flying Flowers" in pairs, reflecting the charm of traditional Chinese culture. In these childish and soulful verses, we could see their pure and bright hearts.

The children gave a unique performance to show everyone the beauty of the Chinese language.

Words carry not only the beauty of literature and art, but also the mission of history and the times.

Concordia students look back on history and look forward to the future with the attitude that of "A strong youth leads to a strong country, and a wise youth leads to a wise country".

Students wrote their favourite poems and short essays on the fans, depicting the poetic world in their hearts, drawing nutrients from the words and developing poetic thinking.

To the Principal

The students from CISN expressed their gratitude and love for the Principal with a Chinese card combined with an English translation, showing the interplay of Chinese characters in a diverse world.

From traditional Chinese culture to diverse world cultures, we implement the concept of blending East and West, combining poetry, music and other creative forms to get children excited about learning Chinese and discovering more courage and confidence.

Language is an important carrier of culture and art. This International Chinese Language Day continues the school's tradition of allowing the charm of Chinese to transcend time and space, promoting the exchange and appreciation of civilizations.

We believe that  immersion is the best way for children to attain bilingualism and multiculturalism. At Concordia School Ningbo, we aim to carry out the school’s motto "Harmony in Diversity, Excellence through collaboration."

We hope that in the encounter with the Chinese language, each child will discover the beauty and poetry of life and truly become enriched in curiosity and heart.
