Caring for Your Health

Begins with Sleep

Part One

-What is Sleep Health-

Sleep is an essential part of the body's recovery and integration, consolidation of memory, and is vital for promoting brain development, bone growth, protecting eyesight, physical and mental health and improving the learning ability and efficiency of primary and secondary school students.

8 hours  43.2%  29%  10%

Do you understand the meaning behind these numbers?

The average sleep time is 8 hours and 12 minutes , 43.2% of people go to bed late because they play on their mobile phones or games, 29% of people appear to be working in their dreams and only 10% of university students manage to go to bed early and get up early.

However, adequate sleep for children is an issue that cannot be ignored.

Q: How much sleep should a children get in a day?

A: Ten hours.

Why do children need 10 hours of sleep when adults generally only sleep for 8 hours?

1. Because children are growing and developing, their organs and tissues are not yet mature, their physiology is not yet perfect and they are easily fatigued.

2. Children should get more sleep than adults every day to meet their health needs.

Part Two

-The Effects of Seep Deprivation

are Much More than You Yhink-

Low immunity - prone to illness

In primary students frequent lack of sleep may affect the functioning of their bodies and lead to a decrease in immunity, so they are vulnerable to external pathogens, resulting in symptoms related to colds and coughs.

Inattentiveness - affects learning

Children who do not get enough sleep will suffer from poor mental state, tend to be distracted in class, doze off easily and have poor concentration, which will cause their academic performance to decline.

Grumpy and irritable - slow growth and development

Primary school students who are sleep deprived for long periods of time may suffer from depression due to physical fatigue, as well as irritability and moods, which in turn may lead to emotional instability and affect relationships.
