2023 Concordia Summer Camp | Personalised Growth Interest

As the 2023 Concordia Summer Camp approached the end, the children learned step by step in colourful-themed courses, gained a great deal of fresh knowledge, and grew up happily from their points of interest. Meanwhile, Concordia is looking forward to the children welcoming the new semester with a brand new look.

KINDERGARTEN

The Journey of “Yummy Yummy You” is set up with a number of inquiry projects to inspire cognitive skills by means of scenario simulation and knowledge introduction. Students also experienced an in-depth knowledge of inquiry-based learning and stimulation of independent learning ability and creativity.

The programme starts with children's interests and follows the three principles of comprehensiveness, continuity, and practicability, awakening the link between the mind and the world. 

This food education trip is a fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, transitioning from local to global. Every Concordia teacher is eager to bring a brand new curriculum experience to children.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

At Concordia, the various programmes of the Detective Camp bring students an immersive and mysterious campus detective atmosphere from different aspects and in a wide range of ways.

Clue puzzles, portrait copying, mind mapping and deductive reasoning in the language class are progressive and interlocking. The"Little Detectives" experience how a logical, articulate, and strong detective is raised in an immersive experience.

Maths class is the best time for thinking out of the box. Competitive games like English maze,  24 points and digital clock enhances the children's sense of competition. The variety of reasoning questions stimulates and develops the children's interest in maths.

American football is the "key" in PE. Starting from football, the skills of throwing, catching and dodging brought the beauty of raw power to the confrontation After the exhausting brain activity, the beauty of a wild sport flourished mentally and physically in each child. 

Through English riddles, children followed the clues to quickly solve and find the "rugby balls" scattered all over the school. The integrated programme improved students' multi-tasking, English comprehension and scouting skills.

The art class was colourful. Combining skills of deduction, suspense, adventure and other forms of expression, students designed a series of meaningful handicrafts, such as exclusive detective badges, detective robots, detective towers, detective silhouettes, detective castles and so on. The diversified art programme helps to stimulate children's potential, improve their aesthetic ability and gain a sense of self-identity. 

About Concordia

The curriculum of Concordia Summer Camp is inquiry-based and student-centred, supported on six super-disciplinary themes, giving children an immersive learning experience.

Secondly, two Chinese and two foreign teachers are in the class at the same time throughout the day to create a pure bilingual environment. There are also three-dimensional interactive programmes such as outdoor theme study, which allow parents and children to perceive, understand, and learn in the real world, and ultimately achieve a better version of themselves.
